Ponytail Palm

The Ponytail Palm is also known as the Elephant's Foot Tree. This species is actually related to the Agave family and is actually classified as a succulent. They are very distinctive with their appearance which includes a large bulbous based, single trunk and cascading ponytail leaves. The plant needs to be positioned in bright light, indirect sunlight is best this is why they are very popular indoors. They prefer the soil to be on the dryer side so let the top 2-3 inches of the soil to dry out.
